WHAT DOES THIS COURSE COVER?
We take pride in smashing the myth that training about diversity and inclusion is boring – and this course is no exception. We all have bias; this course helps us understand its impact and explore ways to change it. With the focus of this session geared towards our responsibilities, behaviours and actions, we’ll highlight the importance of creating a culture of inclusion, equity and respect.
We’ll cover current legislation, unconscious bias, increasing self-awareness and how we can develop a more accepting and diverse culture.

Explain the difference between our reflective and reflexive minders
List and describe three types of unconscious bias
Identify three types of gender bias
Define what we mean by micro messages
Identify a range of micro messages and the impact of these
Come up with a range of strategies to overcome the negative impact of unconscious bias
